Examination dates

The NOCN exams are held twice a year, every May and December.



Submitting Applications

Applications to sit for the May exams are submitted in March, and in October for the December exams. The exact dates for submitting applications are announced at every exam window.


December 2026 Exams

Registration: Only through PALSO platform, from 15/09/2026 until 22/10/2026 by 23:59.

Late Entry applications will be accepted through PALSO platform until 13/11/2026, with an additional charge of 25€.

PLEASE NOTE

The re-sit fees have changed as of the May 2023 examination session and onwards.

Learners that pass 1, 2 or 3 skills may bank them for the next five examination sessions.

The first two are free of charge.

May 2024 Refer Learners:

  • Re-sit fees per unit apply for the 12/2026 examination session.

December 2024 Refer Learners:

  • Re-sit fees per unit apply for the 12/2026 & 05/2027 examination sessions.

May 2025 Refer Learners:

  • Re-sit fees per unit apply for the 12/2026, 05/2027 & 12/2027 examination sessions.

December 2025 Refer Learners:

  • Free of charge for the 12/2026 examination session.
  • Re-sit fees per unit apply for the 05/2027, 12/2027 & 05/2028 examination sessions.

May 2026 Refer Learners:

  • Free of charge for the 12/2026 & 05/2027 examination sessions.
  • Re-sit fees per unit apply for the 12/2027, 05/2028 & 12/2028 examination sessions.

The re-sit fees are:

  • 35 € per unit for B1 level.
  • 50 € per unit for B2 level.
  • 55 € per unit for C1 level.
  • 60 € per unit for C2 level.
